Meet Dr. Kate Huether: Doctor. Nutritionist. Personal trainer.

While I was in medical school, I became frustrated with the healthcare system. I noticed we were treating things we could have been prevented. It wasn’t good for the patient and it’s a burden on our healthcare system. Chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes are the leading causes of death and disability in the United States. They are also leading drivers of the nation’s $3.5 trillion in annual health care costs (CDC). It’s why even after graduating from Johns Hopkins Medical School, I worked at McKinsey to try to work on health system solutions. It’s also why I incorporate my Masters in Nutrition from Columbia University into my work. I’m passionate about achieving optimal health and as a competitive athlete, I had three major ACL reconstructive surgeries. It’s not easy to maintain your health in our stressful society, but I’ve seen that it can be done with Lifestyle Medicine. As an MD, everything I recommend is evidence-based. With my knowledge in nutrition, I can work with you on a diet and as a trainer, we can transform your whole health in a way that works for you.
